Muhammad’s Condition in light of  the Biblical Description of Demonic Possession

http://www.answering-islam.org/authors/thompson/demonic_influence.html

In this article I seek to survey early Islamic source material pertaining to Muhammad’s demon possession and then compare those details with what the Bible says about demon possession. The Bible has much to say about being influenced by evil spirits, demons or Satan and it is the most relevant text in this regard with which to compare Muhammad’s condition as found in the Quran, Hadith and other Islamic sources. After much study I have come to realize that Muhammad, the false prophet of Islam, perfectly fits the Biblical description of someone under demonic oppression, demon possession or the influence of Satan.

What we believe politically

http://patriotbiblechurch.com/

What we believe with regards to the political and cultural issues in America today, with the Word of God as a lens through which we view the issues at hand.

*We believe abortion is America’s national holocaust. It is the deliberate killing of innocent pre-born babies.

*We believe marriage is, by definition, only between a man and a woman.

*We believe the Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights to be the greatest documents of freedom ever produced by man.

The fifth Amendment

The Fifth Amendment gives you the right to never be a witness against yourself. These are the top four reasons why you should never talk to the police.
1. There is no way talking to the cops can help you. You can’t talk your way out of getting arrested. You can’t give them any information that will help you at trial. Anything you say can only be used against you and not for you. In fact, during your trial if your attorney asks an officer to repeat what you told him because it will help your case, the prosecutor can and will object because it’s hearsay.
2. Whether you are guilty or not guilty, you may still be manipulated into admitting your guilt with no benefit in return. In more than 25% of DNA exoneration cases, innocent defendants either made incriminating statements, delivered outright confessions or plead guilty.
3. Even if you are innocent and deny your guilt and mostly tell the truth, you can easily get carried away and tell some little lie or make a little mistake that can hang you. The only time you should talk to the cops is in the presence of a jury. Having citizen witnesses and a court of record ensures your words do not get twisted and minor mistakes do not jeopardize your freedom.
4. Even if you are innocent and always tell the truth, you will always give the police some information that can be used to help convict you. Supreme Court Ohio vs. Reiner states, “One of the Fifth Amendment’s basic functions is to protect the innocent who otherwise might be ensnared by ambiguous circumstances. Truthful responses of an innocent witness as well as those of a wrongdoer may provide the government with incriminating evidence from the speaker’s own mouth.” Too many Americans view the Fifth Amendment privilege as a shelter for wrongdoers.

Parsing Ron Paul’s Advice to “Do what you want”

http://www.ronpaullibertyreport.com/archives/parsing-ron-pauls-advice-to-do-what-you-want#comments
The desire for liberty burns inside the minds and hearts of millions of Americans. Liberty is an inherent part of each of us and is so natural that it really takes an institutional effort to suppress it.

Once the fire of liberty is lit inside a person’s mind, there often comes a desire to express it to others. In a country so thoroughly dominated by authoritarianism, the discovery of liberty propels many people to speak up!

It is here that many libertarians hit a wall. How do you speak up? What should each of us do?

Ron Paul has turned so many millions on to the ideas of liberty, that of course many end up asking him what they should do to help? It’s a very common question that he receives.

Dr. Paul replies with the same brilliant answer: “Do what you want!”

THE FORGOTTEN SLAVES

Chineese: The forgoten salves.

The Chinese slavery story is making the rounds with little analysis or thinking about slavery in general. In the USA, people have been and are being enslaved: illegal aliens. In China, the vast excess of labor encourages attempts at exploitation. In the rich oil kingdoms, there are many literal slaves, the push to free the child jockeys came only from Europe, it was barely mentioned in the USA. And then there is a typical story about Chinese slaves from our own dark past, one that few Americans know or want to remember.

Ten Arguments From Social Science Against Same-Sex Marriage

By Family Research Council

A large and growing body of scientific evidence indicates that the intact, married family is best for children. In particular, the work of scholars David Popenoe, Linda Waite, Maggie Gallagher, Sara McLanahan, David Blankenhorn, Paul Amato, and Alan Booth has contributed to this conclusion.

This statement from Sara McLanahan, a sociologist at Princeton University, is representative:

If we were asked to design a system for making sure that children’s basic needs were met, we would probably come up with something quite similar to the two-parent ideal. Such a design, in theory, would not only ensure that children had access to the time and money of two adults, it also would provide a system of checks and balances that promoted quality parenting. The fact that both parents have a biological connection to the child would increase the likelihood that the parents would identify with the child and be willing to sacrifice for that child, and it would reduce the likelihood that either parent would abuse the child.
